ConTact C.A.R.E.

A gentle body-based approach that supports the release of physical tension, stress patterns, and restrictions held within the body.

Sometimes a fall, accident, injury, surgery, difficult birth, sudden fright, or other unexpected event can leave a lasting imprint on the body. Even years later, the body may still be carrying the effects of that experience through tension, discomfort, restricted movement, imbalance, or a feeling that something just isn't quite right.

ConTact C.A.R.E. uses gentle contacts to help release pressure held within the bones and surrounding tissues, supporting the body's natural ability to restore balance, comfort, movement, and ease.

Animal Sessions

Animals experience stress, tension, overwhelm, and emotional challenges too.

Melissa offers remote sessions for horses, dogs, cats, cows, and other animals, supporting emotional balance, behavioural changes, and overall wellbeing.

Available throughout New Zealand and worldwide.

Why The Healing Barn Exists

The Healing Barn was created as a space where people could slow down enough to actually hear themselves again.

A place where there is less pressure to perform, prove, or push through, and more space for curiosity, awareness, connection, and support.

Our work is grounded in the understanding that the body, nervous system, emotions, relationships, and life experiences are deeply connected.

We believe meaningful change often begins not by trying harder, but by listening differently.

The animals, the rural landscape, and the slower rhythm of life that surrounds us are part of that philosophy too. They remind us of something many people have forgotten — that healing, growth, and change do not always have to be forced.

Sometimes what people need most is simply a space where they can finally exhale.
